Ep 7. Finding Balance: Candice and Christina’s Wellness Journey with Epigentics

Welcome to another insightful episode of Everyday Epigenetics: Raw. Real. Relatable Podcast. In this installment, I am chatting with Candice and Christina, a dynamic couple who share their transformative health journey. Both competitive athletes and professionals, Candice, a psych nurse practitioner, and Christina, an IT professional, found themselves at a crossroads of frustration and plateaued progress. It was epigenetic coaching that brought all the pieces of their wellness puzzle together, propelling them towards optimal health and performance.

Finding the Right Routine
Candice and Christina's journey began with the realization that generic health recommendations were simply not working for them. Christina shares, “It's like we've just been able to find that routine. When it's the right plan, because it's right for your body, then it's easy to follow. A plan that goes against your body's needs makes resilience hard to find.” The couple found that with the right routine tailored to their unique genetic makeup, the process became much smoother.

Navigating Health Challenges Together
As athletes, Candice and Christina needed to be in peak health to perform well in their competitive flag football games. However, they were not where they wanted to be health-wise and found themselves frustrated with generic health solutions. Learning their genetic propensities, how their biology drives them allowed them to focus on their unique genetic predispositions and individual needs. She explains, “They were super frustrated, like many of you out there, trying everything, doing all of the generic recommendations. We know that it doesn’t work for some people.” Thanks to a targeted approach, Candice and Christina saw phenomenal changes both individually and as a couple.

The Impact of Lifestyle Changes
The changes brought about by epigenetic coaching extended far beyond their athletic performance. Candice and Christina discussed significant lifestyle transformations, including giving up alcohol and processed food, starting specific supplements their bodies require, and holding back from drinking alcohol. They discovered that these dietary adjustments had profound positive effects on their health and social experiences. They also tracked their recovery improvements and noticed better results using specific frequencies for pain and sleep. These changes contributed to improved energy, weight management, and productivity in their daily lives.

Candice and Christina’s story highlights the incredible power of personalized health solutions grounded in epigenetics. Through this coaching, they were able to bring all the pieces of their health journey together, achieving results beyond their expectations.
